I am currently living in Oxford, UK. I work as a Research Associate in the Knowledge Representation group of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford.

My research focuses on how intelligent systems make sense of the world. In particular, I research systems that use “models” of the world – simplified accounts of what there exists and of how it behaves. This question is covered in the area of Knowledge Representation within Artificial Intelligence, where models are typically represented using mathematical logic. I study logical languages for expressing these models, and also practical methods for learning them and reasoning with them.

I see model-making as a key of intelligent behaviour. A bright-eyed hope of mine is that intelligent systems will one day help us develop new theories to understand better our world.
